THE GROUP
Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) is a leading commercial bank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It employs some 2,500 people and is affiliated with Calyon of France, a subsidiary of Credit Agricole, one of the ten largest global banks.
THE CHALLENGE
Ian Thomas joined BSF as Head of Recruitment to establish an efficient recruitment function that could successfully hire quality global talent.
"When I arrived, around 2,500 unsolicited applications were manually handled each month and there was no system to identify and process quality applicants quickly," says Thomas.
Line Managers were doing their own hiring and overseas professionals were unsure of how to get in touch with BSF. "International bankers at the managerial level would rarely send us their CVs," says Thomas.
THE SOLUTION
Hiring Solutions implemented its Sniperhire e-recruitment platform at BSF. It also built them a dedicated careers website (www.fransicareers.com) which is integrated to the platform.
The specialised website now promotes the bank internationally and has completely changed the applicant experience. All application forms are now unique and tailored to the vacancy. If no suitable vacancy is available, the visitor can set-up a job alert. There is also an Alumni section to engage former employees.
At the recruiter end, the system intelligently screens out poor quality applicants while exceptional candidates are flagged even before the application is completed. The scoring and ranking feature allows recruiters to focus on top candidates, and direct integration to job boards and agencies ensures all applicants flow through a centralised system.
